Quality & Craftsmanship Guarantee
Every item that leaves our shop in Fort Wayne is built with care and precision. Because we create unique wood products, we do not accept returns for "change of mind." However, we stand behind our work and offer a 30-day window for issues related to craftsmanship or transit.
1. Return Window
While we specialize in handcrafted, unique wood products, we offer a 30-day return window for standard stock items to ensure your satisfaction.
Standard Items: Non-personalized items (such as generic accessories or unengraved boards) can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery.
Custom & Personalized Work: Because they are made-to-order, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned for "change of mind":
Any item featuring laser engraving or personalization.
State-shaped items, including our signature deer and turkey taxidermy mounts.
All commissioned furniture and custom-sized builds.
Defective or Damaged Items: Regardless of customization, if an item arrives with craftsmanship issues or transit damage, please notify us within 5 days of delivery for a repair or replacement.
2. Refund Method & Processing Time
Refund Method: Approved refunds will be issued back to the original payment method used during checkout.
Processing Time: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days. You will receive an email confirmation once the transaction is complete.
3. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return or report a shipping issue, please Contact Us with your order number and photos of the item. All returns must be authorized by Jake's Indiana Woodworking before being shipped back to our Fort Wayne shop.
4. Return Shipping Costs & Fees
Damaged/Defective Goods: If an item is defective or was damaged by the carrier, we will provide a pre-paid shipping label at no cost to you.Voluntary Returns/Exchanges: For non-defective standard items (change of mind), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.Restocking Fees: We do not charge restocking fees for any returns.
5. Product Condition
To be eligible for a refund or exchange, items must be returned in their original, unused condition including all mounting hardware and accessories.
