Quality & Craftsmanship Guarantee
Every item that leaves our shop in Fort Wayne is built with care and precision. Because we create unique wood products, we do not accept returns for "change of mind." However, we stand behind our work and offer a 5-day window for issues related to craftsmanship or transit.
1. Return Window
Defective or Damaged Items: You have 5 days from the date of delivery to notify us of any issues.
Exchanges: Since most of our products are custom-made or unique, we generally offer repairs or replacements rather than exchanges for different items.
2. How to Initiate a Return
Process: Contact us with your order number and photos of the defect or shipping damage.
Approval: All returns must be reviewed and approved before being sent back. We will provide a return authorization and instructions once approved.
3. Return Shipping & Fees
Defective/Damaged Goods: If the item is defective or was damaged by the carrier, Jake’s Indiana Woodworking covers the return shipping costs. We will provide a pre-paid shipping label via email.
Restocking Fees: We do not charge a restocking fee for approved returns of defective or damaged items.
4. Product Condition
Items must be returned in the condition they were received, including all original mounting hardware or accessories.
5. Exchanges
While we primarily offer repairs or replacements for defective items, we do offer exchanges for standard stock items under the following conditions:
Availability: All exchanges are subject to current inventory and material availability. Since many of our wood products are unique or seasonal, we cannot guarantee that the exact same item or wood grain will be in stock.
Shipping Costs: For voluntary exchanges (e.g., swapping a non-defective item for a different style), the customer is responsible for shipping costs both ways: the cost to return the original item and the shipping fee for the replacement.
Condition: Items must be returned in their original, unused condition to be eligible for exchange.
